As a Systems Engineer, you will be analyzing, specifying, designing, and verifying the system to ensure that its functional, interface, performance, physical, and other quality characteristics are balanced to meet the needs of the system stakeholders.

Your profile
Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to high-level technical planning, supplier work package definition.
- Assess applicability of standards and norms.
- Initiate preliminary hazard analysis and establish the risk management plan.
- Support FMEA preparation on system level.
- Support system integration and system testing of prototypes.
- Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, verification, and reports
- Maintain, and monitor configuration management.
- Generate intellectual property.
- Daily review, design, requirements, and integration activities.
- Understands DRM/DFT (Design for Reliability, Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test), including concept engineering, modelling, analysis, sensitivity, and stress analysis.
- Familiar with agile processes, continuous development, continuous integration, and test automation.
- Work intensively with Quality, Regulatory, Clinical and Project Management on the formal product development processes, perform design and phase reviews.
- Guides the development team in manufacturing process qualifications and validations.
- Follow change request processes.
Mandatory Qualifications and Soft skills:
- Bachelor and Master of Science in a technical discipline, e.g., electrical engineering, chemical, biomedical engineering, physics or neuro-engineering, neuroscience.
- Minimum 3-4 years experience in System engineering positions within medical device industry.
- >1 years’ experience in laboratory work.
- Experienced in Python for test development and execution is a nice-to-have.
- A sparring partner to colleagues in other disciplines like microfabrication, software, electronics, or mechanics.
- Fluency in English required (company language).
- A system thinking attitude, identify areas of potential improvement and develop plans to address them.
- A high-energy, self-motivated, and pro-active individual able to work in a diverse team in a startup company.
- Good analytical skills.
- Reliable, pragmatic, and result-oriented.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Able to facilitate work in a nice and constructive manner with different internal engineering and operational disciplines, as well as external stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Degree in System engineering.
- Experience in Human factors and UX design.
- Experience with Class III device development.
- Experience with Deep Brain Stimulation systems and their design.
- Practical experience with JAMA, MS Project, Word, Excel, Minitab.
- Experience with wireless technologies including protocols (i.e. Bluetooth).
- Experience with system architecture design including interface definitions.
- Experience with Cybersecurity in regulated medical devices.
